A Little Fall Decorating
Yes, it’s true, I am a little tardy for fall decorating.
As much as I love the crisp weather in fall, I wasn’t quite ready to embrace it.
It took a shopping trip with a great friend to be inspired.
We saw the most amazing pumpkins on our road trip.
Orange, Grey, White… you name it, we saw it!
The next day I headed back to go on a pumpkin shopping spree.
Now that I’ve gathered my pumpkins I am more than ready for fall.
The front entry was the first to get a “Wicked” update.
A few years ago I found this painted “Wicked Witch” sign.
It’s always a staple at the front door for Halloween.
The pumpkins’ colors and markings are as if an artist painted them.
Who knew pumpkins could be so beautiful?
If you know me, you know I have a major crush on Hydrangeas.
Hands down they are my favorite flower.
Not only are they beautiful in spring, but they are wonderful cut and dried too.
I wanted to find a cone shape container for them.
Luckily, I purchased Jennifer Carroll’s, Celebrating Everyday Life, magazine today.
Inside she has a tutorial for a chicken wire cone.
Perfect!
Thanks Jennifer!
I was able to make it in about 20 minutes.
It’s a little quirky which adds to the “Wicked Witch” theme.
By the way… if you haven’t subscribed to Jennifer’s gorgeous magazine, you may want to check it out.
I am happy I did!
🙂
Would you like to come in?
When you step inside…
BEWARE!
Ally will be peeking around the corner to be the first to greet you.
Once you’ve given her all of the “love” you can muster up,
you will see a little fall flavor added throughout.
The dried lavender is from my garden and the pumpkin was a dollar store purchase.
In the kitchen you will find more hydrangeas.
The tutorial for this box is coming soon.
My dining room has a centerpiece this year.
Dollar store pumpkins mixed with moss, dried potpourri, and candles
make a simple fall display.
Head to the back patio,
and
Morning Glories will greet you.
Performing with their watercolor petals they put on an unforgettable show.
At mid-day they disappear.
No one knows what colors will be on display the next day.
I hope you enjoyed this little “late” tour of my fall decorating.
Are you slow to welcome fall?
Or are you excited for the season of change?
Whatever you are doing today…
Enjoy it!
Every. Single. Moment.
Thank you so much for reading!

Awe, Betsy, thank you!
Love all your beautiful decor, Angie! (Especially the photo of your front door opened into the entryway.) And that cloche on the dining room table–where did you get it?
Thanks Miss Charming! The cloche was found at Home Goods. I love that store!!!
