Decorating with a King of Christmas Tree

It’s that time of year again where summer is gone, autumn is setting in, and cooler weather is on the way. In Arizona it’s the time of year to get outside and enjoy the weather. It’s also time to think about the seasons to come. Christmas is my all time favorite time of year, and as you know, I like to plan early. Not only to get the first pick of what I like, but also get in on sales before items sell out. If there is one “must have” item when it comes to decorating for Christmas, it’s finding the right tree. This year, I thought I would start decorating with a King of Christmas Tree.

I’ve always loved King of Christmas trees and when they contacted me to try one of their trees, I jumped at the opportunity. There are so many reasons why I love these trees, and being able to have one in my home elevates my Christmas decor and space.

Choosing a Tree

I knew what I wanted before I arrived on the King of Christmas website, and was wondering if they would even offer what I envisioned. I scrolled through the site and there it was. This tree was exactly what I was looking for. I wasn’t sure, however, what size to choose. Luckily it was super easy because they have a size guide which I followed.

I have 9’ ceilings and the recommendation on the King of Christmas website was a 7’ tree. Visually I think it is the perfect height. It’s not too wide either. I feel like it fits in our sitting room perfectly, not overtaking the space, but yet still being the star and focal point of the room. 

This tree caught my eye because of the minimalistic quality it has. The tree is beautiful by itself – it truly doesn’t need ornaments. I also wanted a pre-lit tree for ease of setup – this one comes with 500 warm white Led lights. (That‘s a lot of lights).

If you are looking for a tree and don’t have a particular one in mind, there are so many great options. There are trees that are flocked, thin, full, minimalistic, different lighting options, firs, pine trees… and the list goes on. King of Christmas also offers a quiz where you answer questions about the perfect tree for your space. After taking the quiz, you will have several choices, which narrows down your Christmas decorating vision.

Delivery Day

My tree arrived quickly and I was excited to open up the box right away. Inside the box was 3 sections of the tree, a stand, gloves, remote, storage bag, and instructions for easy setup.

Do you want to know the best part about the setup? I did it myself. Me… standing at 5’3″! Yep, and it took me a total of 7 minutes to set up. Of course fluffing and decorating takes time, but 7 minutes all by myself is pretty incredible. Like I said, I think this tree could be beautiful on its own without ornaments or decoration.

I enjoy looking at it because it does look life-like and I didn’t have to go out into the forest to cut it down.

Decorating the Tree

Decorating with a King of Christmas tree is easy. Because of the layout of branches, I decided to decorate it very organic and clean. I wanted a minimalistic and vintage look. The open space between branches allows ornaments to sing and be showcased. For my ornaments this year I chose dried oranges, vintage looking candle lights, and tied ribbon. That’s it. Simple. Beautiful. 

I put the tree in the window so those that drive by may enjoy it too. The lights give the tree a magical glow through the window. With 7 different light options for the tree, I can pick a different mode every day of the week.

I’m loving number 2. Sequential – it’s almost as though the lights are softly dancing. So pretty! It’s fun to play around with the lighting options as they are all so unique and different from one another.
