Early Christmas Planning

Is it too early to think about Christmas decorating? I am here to tell you, it isn’t too early. The deal is, the early bird gets the worm, and you don’t want to miss out. I still remember wanting to purchase a couple of wreaths I found at Costco, they looked so real – I had to touch them. They were in my cart, and because it was early October, I put them back. I wasn’t quite ready to think about Christmas. Guess what? I went back two days later and they were sold out – everywhere! I’ve never seen them again. This was where I learned my lesson, early Christmas planning is a must.

Timeless Decor

Each year I decide to invest in one splurge item. When I plan ahead, I am able to find sales as early as July. It’s very important to me to make sure the purchase will be able to stand the test of time and be used from years to come. Looking for quality over quantity is important.

One of My Favorite Christmas Finds

This Norfolk Garland is one of my favorite Christmas Finds. It brought my fireplace mantel to a whole new level. I saw it go on sale and jumped at the opportunity. By the end of the day, they were sold out. I called my store to see if they had more and was told they sold out in a day and I was lucky to get them. (hint, hint).

How did I get this look? By using four 5 foot garlands and swooping them over each other. They were very easy to work with and have such a beautiful drape to them. This gives such a natural appearance and the branches fall nicely to make this garland look life-like.

I used this garland for my mantel, but imagine using it over a bed, a railing (15’option), draping over a window, on a bookshelf, for the table and even over your favorite artwork. The possibilities are endless.
