Healthy Drinks

|

Healthy Drinks are full of goodness to boost the immune system, keep our body energized, and feed our soul. I have found a book full of recipes that are restaurant quality, like you are pulling up a stool at your favorite high end juice bar, but in the comfort of your own home. It’s my little secret that I just couldn’t keep to myself. I want you to have this little gem too and feed your body with vitamins that will nourish your cells. With every sip!

Today I am going to share my favorite green juice with you that is heavenly.

This is not a sponsored post, I purchased Anna’s book and wanted to share how much I love it with you.

Juice bars are one of my favorite places to go for a treat, but each drink is super expensive and I want a way to drink healthy at home and have the ability to be good to myself without breaking the bank in the process. Finding “Healthy Drinks” by Anna Ottosan was the perfect answer.

These recipes are timely now, because the grocery stores are supplying fresh produce daily, and some canned goods are hard to come by. I also want you to feel a burst of energy with each drink. Trust me, these drinks are not only good for energy, but good for the soul too. Not to mention they are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and immune boosting goodness. You may ask…

How can greens taste so good?

The recipe I am going to share with you today is full of greens, but tastes amazing!

(2 Green Apples, cored/2 Stalks Celery/5 Whole Kale Leaves/1 Lemon/1/2 Hothouse (English) Cucumber)

I was a little leery at first. How can all these greens taste so good? Well, let me tell you, the way Anna combines the fruits and vegetables gives an exceptional flavor which treats the palette with every sip. My kids tried it and the reaction was mmmm… that’s surprisingly good! I consider that a win if teenage boys love it.

About Anna’s book:

It’s full of smoothies, juices, juice shots, broths, warmed milks, kombucha… the list goes on. I follow her on Instagram and found her photos and videos always make me want to eat and drink healthier. After all, we are what we eat and no one ever said, “Don’t eat too many vegetables”!

Here is one of my favorite drinks called Tumeric Tonic found in Healthy Drinks. It is soooooo good!

What appliances are needed to make healthy drinks?

I have had this juicer for years and it still works great.

I also use this blender for making smoothies.

If you don’t have either and want to invest in one, I would have to recommend making smoothies and purchasing a Vitamix. You can do so many things with a Vitamix and I feel you would use it daily (I do). I don’t think you could go wrong with either. I know I could not live without them, but they are an investment. One in which I am so glad I made.

If you don’t have either a juicer or Vitamix, you may want to consider making Kombucha, bone broths, infused water, milks, or teas. Anna explains in detail how to do it all in her book.

Do you already juice? Or make smoothies? Flavorful drinks? I would love to hear your experience. Please leave a comment for me and for all to see. I would love to hear some of your favorite recipes too and what equipment you use (juicers, blenders). There are so many options out there and I am always learning.

Thanks for reading today! I am off to make some immunity boosting juice.

Until next time…

Enjoy.

Every. Single. Moment.

Angie
