I bet you’ve been wondering if I disappeared.
I haven’t forgotten about you and miss you so much!
It’s been busy here…
My home is for sale and on the market!
I am excited… I think??
It’s a little bitter sweet.
I loved this home the moment I stepped through the front door.
My husband and I found this house when we were depressed –
feeling like we would never find “our” home.
The home that “spoke” to us.
No joke! We looked at over 30 homes…
We had limited time and were frustrated. That’s when we put it in God’s hands.
We knew he had a house for us and he would find us the
perfect place that we would cherish.
It ended up being a home that was For Sale By Owner.
When the owner met us at the front door she said, “I was hoping God would bring me a couple that has children – just like you.”
We found out she is a special person, and this truly is a special house.
When we walked through the home we knew it needed updating and a little love.
That was not a problem because it had the most amazing layout full of sunshine and natural light streaming in every room.
I don’t know about you, but natural light makes me happy!
We had to have it!
I get giddy when I see a home that has an amazing layout needing extra TLC.
I Loooove a challenge, and truthfully, I want to leave a piece of me behind.
By this I mean, I want to create a space people can enjoy and feel comfortable living in every day.
Leaving it better than it was before is a mission of mine.
You have seen my kitchen transformation, and it actually gets better!
We finally did what I had been wanting to do for years. We now have granite counters and a subway backsplash.
I have enjoyed every moment of the transformation,
I just wish we would have done it sooner.
I know you like to see before and after photos.
I am going to share with you the “after” photos now so you can see what my home looks like today.
I will also share before photos with you as I do my series on
how I got my home ready to sell.
We’ve enjoyed every inch of this house.
With family and friends.
Making memories along the way.
And now it’s time
for someone else to enjoy it.
In the meantime,
I am going to enjoy every moment I have left to spend in my backyard.
I might even be able to see the hydrangeas in full bloom and pick some blueberries.
Stay tuned for the “How I Got My Home Ready To Sell” Series…
Every. Single. Moment.
