Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!
I hope you are having a wonderful day today. I have to admit, last night we went to bed telling the kids not to wake up at some crazy hour – like 5 am.
7 am would be fine, but any earlier, not an option.
Well, guess who was up at 5:30 am waiting?
Me!
Seriously!
I was so excited for my little guys to wake up that I couldn’t sleep!
I even went in their room to see if they were sitting waiting.
Oh no, all I heard was deep breathing.
6:30 am rolled around and I was coughing LOUDLY and saying HO HO HO kind of loud.
Joe told me to be quiet and let them sleep.
Really? (This was a twiddle my thumbs moment.)
Finally, I heard the creak of our door… the kids were up!
I love the moment where they run downstairs to see what is in their stockings.
They jump and show their excitement as they open their gifts.
Jolly J., our little elf, was watching it all with a friend.
His name is Eddie and he is the elf that the kid’s grandpa grew up with.
These little elves have been around for a long time watching.
It’s pretty cool he came to share Christmas with our family today.
This day will come to an end as they all do, and another memory will be created.
As I am blessed and give thanks today, I think about those that are suffering too.
I hope everyone finds comfort today…
Where peace and joy fill your heart.
Thank you very much for reading.
Merry Christmas to you!
Enjoy!
Angie
